I’m opening a kiosk at the Fair of Pretty Things! This will be my debut! And I’m a bit scared, but I’m going into it! Baba with the fish told me to!
Targi Rzeczy Ładnych (Fair of Pretty Things) is the biggest design fair in Warsaw. The purpose of the event is to promote and popularize good design available to the general public.
What will I show? A bit of cosmic space, of course! You will be able to buy mushroom people, Mr Raspberry, kingfishers, penguins and monkeys from me. Stickers. Notebooks. Postcards (because there are people who send them). Well, the essentials.
Beautiful art prints, only on beautiful paper, with guaranteed colour. Warsaw with a whale, a teacher with monkeys, octopuses, irises and teddy bears. Well – the world.
And sorry, but baseball caps and wellingtons are something I won’t present until next time. Step by step.

“Everyone who loves pretty things should be here!
The Fair of Pretty Things is a two-day celebration of beauty lovers, a review of what is most interesting and latest in Polish design, and at the same time accessible to the general public. The event is organised three times a year in Warsaw. It combines the fair part presenting Polish creators of applied arts with the educational part, during which exhibitions, workshops, presentations and discussion panels devoted to design, designers’ work and the history of design in Poland are organised.
During the two-day event, everyone will find something for themselves – furniture, accessories, lamps, ceramics, textiles, graphics, unique, functional products designed with love and care. For children and their parents, there will be a zone with an offer for the little ones – educational toys, books, furniture and finer home accessories.
The aim of the event is to support and popularise Polish design. To initiate a dialogue between designers and manufacturers, consumers and the media. The Fair of Pretty Things integrates the design community by creating a common, open space to discuss the role and need for aesthetics in everyday life.
