What a night it was!
The Long Night of Museums fell on World Collage Day this year. To mark the occasion, I led an open workshop at Lengrenówka, the studio of the Museum of Caricature. The collage worskshop was entitled “Hi hi histories”.
It was great! Lots of people came, there was a great energy. Some people sat for 2 hours, there were some who made collages in 5 minutes….
Some great works were created! And I heard a lot of nice words, thank you very much! Also that the cutting materials were shtick! And how! I share the best! Very happy that the participants appreciated it! And they cut out like crazy!
During the workshop, we used archive photos from the Caricature Museum and Lengrenowka, as well as illustrations from botanical and zoological albums. Using paper and scissors, we told personal stories. And even hihihi stories!
The collage workshop aims to show participants the power of collage and how surprisingly much it can tell us about ourselves and the world around us. Participants will immerse themselves in the Caricature Museum’s collection of archival photographs and create a world of the here and now. Collage is a journey.
