In September 2024, I led a series of workshops for the Jan Twardowski Public Library in the Praga-Północ district of Warsaw as part of the ‘Recycling Poetry’ project. The project was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Cultural Promotion Fund.
During the meeting, we were inspired by poetry. In dusty cardboard boxes we found old poetry volumes, biographies of writers and poets, and beautiful illustrations of animals and plants. It was a journey full of adventure, dialogue and freedom. We created improvised dramas and arranged our own poems.
The first of the meetings took place on the 14 September. It was an open intergenerational workshop. We almost didn’t fit in the big hall! Thank you to all the participants and the library staff for inviting me to the project.
