This year the festival fell on Saturday 25 May. My tent was located on the corner of Walecznych and Francuska Street.
Abracadabra! Once a year, Francuska Street changes beyond recognition. It becomes a place for neighbourhood meetings with live music performed by Polish stars (this year T.LOVE!!!) and surrounded by arts and crafts. The slogan for this year’s edition was “Spring, ah this is you!”. As a fan of the district, I decided to take part. I signed up and was given a tent! I shouted: “Monkeys! Ah it’s you!” – because in my dreams I was showing visitors to my tent postcards with monkeys, which I consider to be my flagship product!
And so: I did indeed have monkeys in my tent, but also whales, mushrooms and…. Palace of Culture. A mishmash. As it is in Warsaw. And then there was Baba with the fish, who surprised me again. Again, I heard many stories, some people knew her from reflected stencils in the city, some heard about her on the radio… Again, I rubbed my eyes in surprise! Well, and Baba XXL made its way to a certain diplomat… Thank you to everyone who supported me, chatted and had a fun time!
And in the end it poured down on us terribly and there was a big storm!

The parade included Teatr Sztuka Ciała (the Body Art Theatre), everyone looked beautiful!!!
